The onslaught of ads and content right now before the election’s pretty overwhelming. So, here’s a post about how I distracted myself from it all and made a socially distanced Halloween candy chute for trick-or-treaters.

Generally, I’m pretty interested in politics and its effect on people’s lives. But, this election has been exhausting with the amount of political messaging we receive daily. It’s why I had to take a week off last week. Never have I been this harassed to go vote and told who to vote for. Now, don’t get me wrong. Voting is an essential part of democracy and is your civic duty. Go vote. However, this election has been so divisive and draining. There are too many fights and arguments. I simply don’t have the energy for it. I voted by dropping off my mail-in ballot at a designated location. Then, I called it a freaking day.

I dressed up as a panda and went on to finish up my Halloween chute. Check out the project here on my other website, An Unperfected Art.
